Handymen are in my humble opinion essential members of our community. We fix leaky sinks, mount TV’s on walls, hang picture frames, and overall we’re basically neighborhood superheroes! Ok that might be a little too far, but you get the point, I’m being silly. In all seriousness though, I am very proud of what I do and would like to help answer some common questions.

In this post, I’d like to take the time to explain a little further on the specific question, “How much do Wellesley handymen charge?” Let’s begin!

First things first, there are typically two kinds of handymen: Those that work for a company, and those who are independent handyman (they run their own business). Generally, the main difference there is that company-handymen charge more because they have more overhead. Simple enough. Another factor that comes into play when answering the question “how much Wellesley handymen charge?” is location. If you live in an real rural area you might find cheaper prices when it comes to handyman services. If you live in a town like Wellesley where there is a higher cost of living, prices are generally a bit higher. We are in fact, answering the question "How much do Wellesley handymen charge?" after all.

Another factor, and I would argue that it is the most important factor, that affects handyman prices is experience. In any profession, if you’ve been working for a long time at the same thing, you’re generally better than a person who just started. In my personal experience, I’ve learned a lot and have broadened my skillset over the years which is why I tell people “I can fix anything!”

Here’s the breakdown of how we price in the town of Wellesley and some best practices for hiring handymen:

  • We charge hourly and prices range from $35-45/ hour
  • Minimum of 2 hours for a visit (free estimates are provided however)
  • We don’t usually do plumbing or electrical work
  • Make a list of all the mini projects you would like done
  • Materials are not included but we do have our own tools

If you want to schedule a time to do a walk through of your project, just schedule an appointment.
